Hyundai Motor India registered total domestic sales of 51,902 units in April 2026, recording a healthy 17% year-on-year growth compared to 44,374 units sold in April 2025. However, on a month-on-month basis, sales declined by 6% from 55,064 units recorded in March 2026.
The April 2026 performance highlights Hyundai’s continued dependence on its SUV portfolio, with strong contributions from models like the Hyundai Venue and Hyundai Exter helping offset declines in some of its established nameplates.

Leading the charts for Hyundai was the Hyundai Creta with 15,291 units sold. Despite remaining the brand’s best-selling model, Creta sales fell 10% year-on-year and 14% month-on-month.

One of the biggest success stories for Hyundai in April 2026 was the Hyundai Venue. The compact SUV posted an impressive 56% YoY growth with 12,420 units sold, while also growing 11% compared to March 2026.

Hyundai sold 8,096 units of the Exter in April 2026, representing a robust 49% YoY increase and 25% MoM growth.

Hyundai i20 continued its steady momentum with 5,624 units sold, up 60% YoY while remaining flat month-on-month.

Hyundai Aura posted moderate growth with 4,587 units sold, up 9% YoY. However, month-on-month sales declined sharply by 31%, indicating softer demand in the compact sedan segment.

Grand i10 Nios remained stable year-on-year at 4,149 units but saw an 18% sequential decline from March 2026.

Hyundai Verna declined 14% YoY and 38% MoM, ending the month with just 865 units. Similarly, the Hyundai Alcazar saw a 16% YoY drop to 850 units.
