Kia India recorded 27,586 units in domestic sales in May 2026, registering a healthy 24% year-on-year growth compared to 22,315 units in May 2025. On a month-on-month basis, Kia grew marginally by 1%, as sales stood at 27,286 units in April 2026.
The brand’s performance was led by the Seltos, while the Sonet continued to remain a strong volume contributor. The Carens also posted impressive growth, helping Kia maintain momentum in the highly competitive Indian passenger vehicle market.

Seltos was the company’s highest-selling model in May 2026 with 10,597 units. The SUV posted a strong 74% YoY growth over the 6,082 units sold in May 2025.
Month-on-month, the Seltos remained almost flat, with sales inching up from 10,566 units in April 2026 to 10,597 units in May 2026. This indicates steady demand for the mid-size SUV and reinforces its role as Kia’s biggest volume driver in India.

Sonet sold 9,707 units in May 2026, making it the second-largest contributor to Kia’s monthly volumes. Compared to 8,054 units in May 2025, the Sonet grew by 21% YoY.

Carens delivered a notable performance with 6,208 units in May 2026. This was a 37% increase over the 4,524 units sold in May 2025.

Syros recorded 961 units in May 2026, down sharply by 73% YoY from 3,611 units in May 2025. This made it the only Kia model in the list with a major year-on-year decline.
