Tata Nexon retained India’s best-selling car tag for October 2025. With over 22k units dispatched in October, the model sold almost 50% higher than the same period last year. Maruti Suzuki’s Dzire closed in second with dispatches of 20,791 units and was followed by its sibling Ertiga. Even with the GST revision, hatchbacks haven’t gained the desired momentum. There was no hatchback in the Top 3 selling cars of Oct’25, and the volumes primarily seem to have taken off for sub-4m SUVs.
Hyundai Creta was again the best-selling Mid SUV with >18k sales in Oct’25. However, Maruti’s latest launch – Victoris did impressive numbers and ranked second in the Mid SUV sales. Around 13.5k Victoris were dispatched in the second month of launch itself, and Maruti is definitely eyeing Creta’s position. It’ll anyhow not be an easy task to shake Creta’s dominance.
