Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx emerged as India’s best-selling car, with 21,461 units dispatched in February 2025! The Cross Sub-4m SUV overtook the likes of Swift, Baleno, and Wagon R to emerge as the Numero Uno selling car of last month. The Fronx+Taisor combo sold over 25k units in Feb’25, and if we add Baleno & Glanza volumes – A mammoth 45k+ units were dispatched last month (almost equivalent to Tata Motors volumes)!
Hyundai’s Creta continued to be the best-selling Mid SUV and was much ahead of Grand Vitara, Seltos, etc. Nexon was the best-selling Tata for Feb’25 and was followed by Punch, which fared in the Top 10 list.
Notably, there is only one Toyota model in the Top 25. While the OEM has expanded its portfolio with 10 models (4 Suzuki rebadged models – Glanza, Taisor, Hyryder & Rumion and 6 own models – Innova, Fortuner, Hilux, Camry, Vellfire & Landcruiser), the volumes of the models has been stabilizing down.
