The Top 25 Selling Cars constituted over 75% of the cars sold in August 2023. It had 10 models from Maruti, 5 from Mahindra, 4 from Hyundai and Tata each, 1 from Kia & 1 from Toyota. In terms of volumes, Maruti Suzuki models contributed over 50 percent to the Top 25!
Maruti Suzuki Swift emerged as the best-selling car of August 2023 with dispatches of 18,653 units. Maruti’s Baleno ranked second on the list. Do note that Fronx has now featured on the Top 10 list for the second consecutive month and the overall Baleno platform (Baleno+Glanza+Fronx) sold a massive 35,612 units!
Maruti Suzuki Brezza was the best-selling SUV for August 2023 and was also the fourth best-selling car of last month. Maruti’s Brezza has outsold the likes of Nexon, Venue & Sonet by a huge margin. Hyundai Creta remained the best-selling Mid-SUV and was followed by Grand Vitara and Seltos in the segment.
