Hyundai’s Creta retained its tag as India’s best-selling car for April 2025 as well, with 17,016 units dispatches! The mid-SUV overtook the likes of Dzire, Brezza, and Ertiga to emerge as the best-selling car of last month. No model crossed the 20k dispatch mark in April 2025 as well, and UVs continue to dominate, with 6 out of the Top 10 models being SUVs/MUV.
7 out of the Top 10 models were from Maruti Suzuki’s stable, and 1 each from Hyundai, Mahindra & Tata. Mahindra’s Scorpio has now jumped into the Top 5 and is faring extremely well since the launch of Scorpio-N trimline. Nexon was the only Tata model in the Top 10 and has ousted Punch by a considerable margin. The Tata models are facing stiff competition and the last few months have not been an easy ride for them.
Skoda’s Kylaq makes an entry into the Top 25 and successfully dispatched over 5.3k units in April 2025. Kylaq has a perfect launch and has placed Skoda much ahead of MG and Honda in the Indian market. However, the OEM has reduced the prices by Rs.46k in May’25 – Is it due to volume pressure?
