The M&HCV Industry grew a healthy 18% in Oct’18 v/s Oct’17! The YTD statistics is even better; the industry grew a stellar 43% in FY18-19 v/s FY17-18!
Tata Motors is the Maruti of the segment! It enjoys a market dominance of over 54% and is the clear leader in the Industry.
Ashok Leyland is distant second and is the only ‘REAL’ competition to Tata! It enjoys a market share of 29.4%. The market share of Tata + Ashok Leyland is 83.6%! The remaining pie is distributed among the smaller players like Volvo Eicher, Mahindra, Isuzu & Volvo India.
