Kia has revealed the 7-seater Sonet that will go on sale in the Indonesian market later this year. India launch is not on the cards as of now.
The Sonet 7-seater is slightly longer than the car sold in India. The dimensions of the 7 seater Sonet – 4,120 mm length, 1,790 mm width, 1,642 mm height and has a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. The Sonet 7-seater will be powered by the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 113 BHP and 144 Nm. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or IVT transmission.
The design philosophy of the Kia 7-seater Sonet is identical to its 5-seater counterpart. The third row of seats is small and consumes the boot space. The rear seats can also be accessed by folding the second row which has a 60:40 split. The third row of seats gets adjustable headrests and can also be folded if one needs to store luggage.
The Sonet 7-seater comes equipped with a digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car has ventilated front seats, rear AC vents, ambient lighting, wireless charging, 7-speaker Bose audio system, and UVO connect features.
