Bajaj Auto will recommence booking for its Chetak E-Scooter for a limited period from April 13, 2021.

The Chetak E-scooter claims to have a range up to 95 km.

The product

had been launched at a price tag of around Rs,1 Lakh (Ex-Showroom Pune) but expect a slight increase when the fresh bookings start.

The Chetak e-scooter has packed in a lot of nostalgia what with the horseshoe-shaped LED headlamp cluster and smooth flowing body panels. It has added elements of modernity with an electric powertrain and an all-digital instrument cluster.

The new Chetak would be available in two versions: the Urbane and the Premium.

The Premium version will feature a tan-colored single-piece seat, front disc brake layout and metallic paint scheme, and metallic accented wheels. It will attract a premium of Rs. 15,000.

The Urbane does not have a metallic paint job and is employs a drum brake for stopping duties.

The Chetak is equipped with a 4.1 kW electric motor paired with automatic transmission. It generates 16 Nm of torque.

It has a range of 95 km on the Eco mode and 85 km in real-time conditions. It also comes with a warranty period of three years/50,000 km whichever is earlier.

The battery can be replenished up to 25% capacity in an hour and 100% in five hours. The Kick-down mode can be used in case of an emergency.

The Chetak comes equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, alloy wheels, upright riding position, LED tail lamps, single-piece grab rail, and other premium features.

The rivals for the Chetak are the TVS iQube and Ather 450X.
