MUV segment grew an impressive 32% YoY in Oct’19 and was led by the sales of new entrants in the segment (Triber, XL6 & Refreshed Ertiga). Triber is proving to be a lifesaver for Renault and is slowing gathering acceptance due to the tremendous value it is offering at the price point. Ertiga + XL6 too are creating wonders for Maruti Suzuki – The duo sold an impressive 11,525 units in Oct’19 and took the MUV game to altogether a differing level! Marazzo is slowly losing the sheen and the Ertiga+XL6 success is wiping out Marazzo’s volumes. Surprisingly, Innova’s numbers are also dipping – Will be interesting to see how Kia’s next launch (Carnival) will fare at this segment and Innova price point?
