With Sales of over 7.4k units Kia’s Seltos emerged as the best selling SUV for March 2020. Even though the Mid SUV segment degrew -37% YoY; the degrowth rate was much lesser than that of the Industry (-52%).
Kia Seltos will now have to face it’s biggest rival – Hyundai Creta. While Creta was launched in March 16th; the model couldn’t have enough time to make an impact prior to the lockdown. The overall launch timing was unfortunate for the model and Hyundai would have wanted a much better opening launch for the new model.Let’s see how the Mid-SUV segment fared in March 2020 –
