Ford India has released a teaser before launching its Eco Sport SE SUV.
According to sources, the launch is expected on 10 March 2021.
Refreshment and Innovations :
The new version will have refreshments including the export versions’ tailgate design, wherein the number plate is positioned at the center of the tailgate.
It is expected to add to the appeal of the SUV. This was done based on customer feedback.
It will come with almost all features present in the top-spec EcoSport including the SYNC infotainment system and a Sunroof , with different alloy wheels and a few feature deletions.
The model will be available in both the Petrol and Diesel engine version and promoted below the Top Spec Eco Sport S.
And another first of its kind feature will be that it will not have a spare wheel. Instead, it will come fitted with a tyre puncture repair kit, have Tubeless Tyres and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
This has been made possible due to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) amendment from July last year, wherein passenger vehicles falling under the M1 category, subject to certain conditions (like having a TPMS), are not required to be sold with a spare wheel.
M1 category refers to all passenger vehicles, not weighing more than 3.5 T and with a seating capacity of up to nine occupants, including the driver.
