One of the highest volume segments of the Indian Auto Industry also sees another characteristic it’s dominated by MSIL and Hyundai. Maruti owns more than 60% of this segment and Hyundai compliments it with another lot. However, we can see Tata Tiago doing its bit to challenge the established players.

#) Swift continues to hold the undisputed number 1 position. With the new 2021 swift being launched, expect this to only climb up from here on.

#) Wagon R , the Tallboy design car, continues to play its Mr. Dependable role for MSIL. Celerio along with Ignis, have low volumes but are significant contributors to this segment portfolio of MSIL.

#) Hyundai’s i10, seems to set itself around the 10,000 mark. And is strongly being challenged by Tiago with its volume being stepped up month after month. Santro seems to lose its shine and has degrown by about 50%.

#) The rest of the players continue to struggle to find a spot for themselves.
