Made in India Jeep Wrangler rolled out

American automaker Jeep has launched the locally assembled Wrangler SUV in India at 53.90 lakh (ex-showroom price). The SUV is being assembled at the brand’s plant in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra.


The Jeep Wrangler will be available in two variants — the Unlimited and Rubicon trims, The Wrangler will feature a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine. This 2.0-litre motor is paired to an eight-speed transmission, and power is sent to the wheels via an AWD system, which will deliver 268hp and 400Nm of torque. The cost of the Wrangler is lower than a CBU (completely built-up) unit.


Wrangler Unlimited and Rubicon come with leather seats, a soft-touch dashboard, UConnect infotainment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with steering mounted controls.
