Maruti Suzuki Sales Analysis

Maruti Suzuki dispatched 1,46,203 units to its dealers in March 2021. It was a 92% growth over March 2020 and 1% growth over February 2021!

  • Swift became the best-selling car for March 2021. It was both Maruti and India’s No.1 selling car.

  • Baleno volumes were encouraging and the model grew a stellar 6% MoM. It also became the second best-selling car of Mar’21.

  • Wagon-R volumes remained steady and the model was the third best-seller in Maruti’s portfolio.

  • Dzire’s rise in volumes is surprising. The model which was struggling without a diesel option grew 109% YoY – However; the MoM volumes fell by -4%.

  • 11,547 units of Eeco sold in Mar’21! Maruti seems to have successfully recover Omni volumes from Eeco.

  • Ertiga registered a growth of 134% YoY and sales fell by -5% MoM.

  • Ignis was Nexa’s second best-selling model in Mar’21! XL6 crossed 3k volumes in Mar’21 as well. Do note that Ciaz was the lowest faring Maruti/Nexa model! Even S-Cross did better than the Ciaz.
