Scooters segment had seen a major impact post-Covid19 and sales was severely affected when compared to Motorcycles. However; the segment is in a recovery mode and the models are slowly registering growth.
Honda’s Activa remained No.1 Selling Scooter for February 2021 and contributed to >50% volumes in the Top 10! The Top 10 Scooters collectively sold 4,14,431 units in Feb’21 and recorded a growth of 6% YoY.

Honda Activa registered a decline of -6% YoY and sold >2.09L units in Feb’21.

TVS Jupiter ranked second in the list and grew a mammoth 66% YoY. The model was able to recover its second spot from Suzuki’s Access.

Suzuki Access sales degrew by -3% YoY and slipped to third spot in Feb’21 (from 2nd spot in Feb’20).

Honda Dio grew a modest 6% YoY and ranked fourth in Feb’21.

Hero had two offerings in the Top 10 – Pleasure and Destni 125. The models recorded an impressive growth of 174% & 65% YoY respectively.

Yamaha too had 2 models fare in the Top 10 – Ray & Fascino. Fascino registered the highest YoY fall in the Top 10.

Suzuki’s Burgman ranked 9th in the table and grew 12% YoY.
