The Top 25 Selling Cars constituted near to 77% of the cars sold in December 2022. It had 10 models from Maruti, 4 from Hyundai and Mahindra, 3 from Tata, and 2 from Kia & Toyota. In terms of volumes, Maruti Suzuki models contributed over 49 percent to the Top 25!
Maruti Baleno retained the No.1 spot and sold near to 17k units in December 2022. It was closely followed by Ertiga with despatches of over 12k units. Alto has slipped to 11th position in Dec’22. Nexon was Tata’s best-selling car and India’s best-selling SUV last month. Brezza followed closely and ranked 6th on the list.
Maruti Grand Vitara overtook Seltos and ranked 16th, while its Toyota sibling – Hyryder ranked 25th. Both models combined sold over 10.3k units in December 2022.
