The Top 25 Selling Cars constituted over 80% of the cars sold in January 2023. It had 10 models from Maruti, 4 from Hyundai and Tata, 3 from Kia & Mahindra, and 1 from Honda. In terms of volumes, Maruti Suzuki models contributed over 49 percent to the Top 25!
Maruti Alto regained the No.1 spot and sold near to 21.5k units in January 2023. It was closely followed by Wagon R with despatches of over 20k units. Nexon was Tata’s best-selling car and India’s best-selling SUV last month. Creta followed closely and ranked 6th on the list with despatches of over 15k units. Creta also recorded its highest-ever domestic sales in India last month!
Maruti’s Grand Vitara managed the 18th spot and was the third best-selling Mid SUV (behind Creta & Seltos), while its Toyota sibling – Hyryder was not in the Top 25. However, both models combined sold over 12.7k units in January 2023.
