Maruti Dzire emerged as India’s best-selling car for July 2025. The Compact Sedan is in a tough fight with the Hyundai Creta for the Top Spot and has now overtaken the Creta with a significant 3,997 units in July ’25. The refreshed Dzire is gaining substantial volumes in the CNG avatar too, and the taxi segment is helping it get additional volumes.
It is after 6 months that the No.1 selling car has crossed the 20k dispatches mark. Previously, Maruti Fronx had crossed the 20k mark with 21,461 dispatches in Feb’25. Maruti secured 7 out of the top 10 slots, and 6 out of the Top 10 cars were UVs.
Creta remained the best-selling SUV in July 2025 and was marginally ahead of the highest-selling MPV Ertiga. Wagon-R continued to be the king of hatchbacks and ranked fourth in the list. Scorpio numbers were impressive with ~14k dispatches and was the best-selling Mahindra of July’25.
